Crypto Screener FAQ

Everything you need to know about using our cryptocurrency screener

What is a cryptocurrency screener?

A cryptocurrency screener is a tool that helps you filter and find cryptocurrencies based on specific criteria. Instead of manually reviewing thousands of coins, you can set filters like price, market cap, volume, and technical indicators to quickly find coins that match your investment strategy.

How do I use the crypto screener?

To use the screener: 1) Navigate to the Screener page, 2) Use the filter sidebar to set your criteria (price range, market cap, volume, etc.), 3) Apply technical indicator filters if needed, 4) Sort results by any column, 5) Click on any coin to see detailed information. Your filters are saved automatically for your next visit.

What filters are available?

The screener offers comprehensive filters including: Price range (min/max), Market cap range, 24h trading volume, Price change percentages (1h, 24h, 7d, 30d), Technical indicators (RSI, MACD, Bollinger Bands), Moving averages (SMA, EMA), Volatility, and more. Pro users get access to additional advanced filters.

Can I save my filter presets?

Yes! You can save your filter configurations as presets. After setting your filters, click 'Save Preset' and give it a name. Access your saved presets from the dropdown menu to quickly apply your favorite screening criteria. Free users can save up to 5 presets, Pro users have unlimited presets.

How do I find undervalued cryptocurrencies?

To find potentially undervalued coins, try these filter combinations: 1) RSI below 30 (oversold), 2) Price significantly below 52-week high, 3) Strong volume indicating interest, 4) Positive MACD showing momentum shift. Remember, technical indicators don't guarantee value - always do fundamental research.

How often is the data updated?

Price data is updated every minute from reliable market sources. Technical indicators are recalculated with each price update. For real-time streaming prices, enable WebSocket connection in your settings. Market cap and volume data may have slight delays depending on the exchange.

What's the difference between the screener and watchlist?

The screener is for discovering new coins based on criteria - it shows all coins matching your filters. Watchlists are for tracking specific coins you're interested in - you manually add coins you want to monitor. Use the screener to find opportunities, then add promising coins to your watchlist.

Can I export screener results?

Yes! Pro users can export screener results to CSV or Excel format. Click the 'Export' button above the results table to download your filtered results. This is useful for further analysis in spreadsheet applications or for record-keeping.

How do I sort the screener results?

Click on any column header to sort by that column. Click again to reverse the sort order. You can sort by price, market cap, volume, price change percentages, or any visible metric. Sorting combined with filters helps you find the best opportunities quickly.

What does market cap mean and why filter by it?

Market cap (market capitalization) is the total value of a cryptocurrency (price × circulating supply). Large cap coins (>$10B) are more stable but offer less growth potential. Small cap coins (<$1B) are riskier but may have higher upside. Filter by market cap to match your risk tolerance.

How do I find high-volume coins?

High trading volume indicates active trading and liquidity. To find high-volume coins: 1) Set minimum volume filter (e.g., >$10M), 2) Sort by volume column descending, 3) Look for volume/market cap ratio for relative volume. High volume during price increases is generally a positive sign.

Can I screen for specific categories of coins?

Yes! You can filter coins by category such as DeFi, NFT, Layer 1, Layer 2, Meme coins, Gaming, and more. Use the category filter to focus on specific sectors of the cryptocurrency market that interest you or align with your investment thesis.

Why are some coins missing from the screener?

We include coins meeting minimum liquidity and reliability standards. Very new coins, coins with extremely low volume, or coins not listed on major exchanges may not appear. This helps ensure you're screening for tradeable assets with reliable data.

How do I create alerts from screener results?

You can create alerts directly from screener results: 1) Click on any coin in the results, 2) Click the 'Create Alert' or bell icon, 3) Set your alert conditions, 4) Save. You can also create filter-based alerts that notify you when ANY coin matches your screening criteria.
